Abstract
1412742 Pallet-stacking device CHARCON PRODUCTS Ltd 6 Nov 1972 [4 Aug 1971] 50930/72 Divided out of 1412741 Heading B8C The subject-matter described in the present Specification is identical with that disclosed in the complete Specification of the main Specification 1,412,741, but the claims are directed to the pallet stacking device 34 comprising a receiving tray, or platform 30 in the form of an inclined roller conveyer on to which pallets to be stacked may be fed, abutment means, not shown, to retain pallets on said tray, or platform, and lift means 33 for moving the tray, or platform, between a lower pallet receiving position and an elevated stacking position, the lift means being operable to move the tray, or platform, and a pallet supported thereon, from the initial inclined position firstly into a horizontal position and then upwardly to the stacking position, the lift means including a scissors linkage 32 to maintain the tray, or platform, horizontal during its upward movement, and retrieving means 35 serving to hold each pallet elevated by the lift means in its elevated position thereby enabling the tray, or platform, to be returned to the lower position to receive a further pallet.
