Abstract

1410088 Pipe brackets J WEISS 28 Feb 1973 [28 Feb 1972] 9838/73 Heading A4B [Also in Division F2] Support means for a pipe 1 comprises a collar formed from a metal strip incorporating at one end, a hole 10 with a projection 12 in front of it and, at the other end an opening 14 for co-operating with said projection, this end and also having a cut-out portion 13 in front of the opening. The collar is assembled around the pipe 1 with the two ends engaged by nuts 7 and 8 on a threaded rod 3 fixed to horizontal wall 2. Adjustment of nuts 7 and 8 enables the height of the pipe to be adjusted. One end of the metal strip may be thicker than the rest (as at 4) or it may be of U cross-section with flanges 9, to increase the rigidity of the support. Alternatively the two ends may be superimposed one on the other in a separate U crosssection member to increase rigidity. In a further embodiment, Figs. 7 to 10 (not shown) the collar is supported by two threaded rods (27a, 27b).
