1408794 Boring earth &c UNION INDUSTRIELLE BLANZY-OUEST 9 Nov 1972 [10 Nov 1971] 51859172 Heading E1F An earth-boring tool has a disc-shaped cutter comprising a circular metal support 5 provided at its periphery with contiguous plates 4 of wear-resistant material, the planes of the plates substantially coinciding with the plane of symmetry of the cutter perpendicular to its axis of rotation. The plates 4 which are of carbides, nitrides or ceramics, are brazed in a peripheral groove in the support 5.
