Abstract

P i s t o n s , balancing laterally; connecting-rods, -The piston-head A is formed with webs C, which rock on the gudgeon pin, the side thrust of the connecting-rod being taken by a slipper I. The slipper and the piston-head are connected together by the gudgeon pin, which may be secured in the slipper I, or, as shown, may be secured in the connecting-rod end and rock in bushes mounted in the slipper I and webs C. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 147,637.
