Abstract
1404705 Reciprocating motors and pumps RELIANCE ELECTRIC CO 28 Nov 1973 [22 Jan 1973] 55198/73 Heading F1A [Also in Division F2] In a hydraulic motor or pump comprising a rotor 20 with radial recesses 22 in which rollers 24 are reciprocated by a multi-lobed cam track 40, the rotor is hydrostatically balanced between the faces of housing plates 44, 48 by working liquid in passages 100 passing through the rotor and connecting the clearance between the rotor and plate 48 to an annular recess 102 formed between the rotor and plate 44, working liquid from highpressure port 90 entering passages 100 via the clearance between the rotor and plate 48 and passing from recess 102 via recesses 104, 106, chamber 86 and drain 88.
