1499843 Filled cables WESTERN ELECTRIC CO Inc 26 Feb 1975 [26 Feb 1974] 7959/75 Heading H1A [Also in Division Dl] A stranded communication cable 11, the interstices of which have been filled with a waterproofing compound (e.g. petrolatum or a mixture thereof with low density polyethylene) is provided (see Division D1), prior to wrapping or sheathing, with a smooth coating 89 of the waterproofing compound in order to prevent the creation of voids between the filled core and the wrapping.
