Abstract

1487925 Alloying steel BRITISH STEEL CORP 23 May 1975 [4 July 1974] 29711/74 Addition to 1322712 Heading C7D The process of Specification 1322712 is modified in that two ladles are used, and the alloyed steel from the tundish is teemed into a continuous casting mould. The alloying addition is preferably Pb (introduced as shot, tape or fines), but may be Se or Te, and the steel may be of low or medium C and may contain small amounts of Cr, Mo, Mn. The teeming temperature is 1615-1630‹C.
