Abstract
1466481 Tubular sheaths for accumulator electrodes MECONDOR SpA 17 April 1975 [18 April 1974] 15831/75 Heading H1B A multitubular sheath for holding the active material forming the positive plates of a lead accumulator comprises a portion of a tube 2<SP>1</SP>, 211 at each side end of the sheath, each tube portion being made impermeable to lead particles by an insulating inert material. Each tube portion 2<SP>1</SP>, 2<SP>11</SP> is coated or impregnated with the inert material which may be synthetic resin, synthetic paint, wax, bitumen or heat meltable polymers and copolymers. The sheaths are located between microporous separators 3 which compress the end tube portions into the shape shown at 2<SP>1</SP> or 211. Alternatively the tube portions 2<SP>1</SP>, 211 may be made impermeable by gluing to the tube portions webs of polyvinyl chloride, polythene, polypropylene or polyester.
