Abstract

1463660 Oven doors HETTICH ENG Ltd 6 May 1974 [10 May 1973] 22259/73 Heading F4W An oven door comprises first and second sheet metal bodies 1 and 6 having rearwards and forwards extending flanges 2, 9 respectively around their peripheries and a glass panel 4 trapped between the bodies 1, 6, wherein the panel 4 is pressed against the rear of an opening 5 in the body 1 by tongues 10 folded inwards at spaced intervals around the edge of the flange 9 and is an exact fit within the flange 9 which is itself an exact fit within the flange 2. The bodies 1, 6 are pressed from sheet steel. A second glass panel 8 is stuck over an opening 7 in the body 6. The bodies 1, 6 are secured together by turning the rear edge 11 of the flange 2 on to the rear of the body 6. (For Figure see next column.)
