1457624 Stack forming apparatus; conveyer systems LERNER MACHINE CO Ltd 10 March 1975 [11 March 1974] 10733/74 Addition to 1282355 Headings B8C and B8A In an apparatus for forming a multi-tier stack of articles and for feeding the stack to a further station 39, such as a shrink wrapping machine, a pair of spaced apart transfer stations 13, 15, having one or more levels with indicators 17, 19 receive articles and feed such articles, on reaching a required number on either one or both levels and on activation of transfer devices 21, 23 push the articles from the stations 17, 19 on to conveyers 25, 27, 29 and 31 on to appropriate decks of a multi-deck central transfer station 33 and when detectors 35 associated with each transfer station 33 deck are actuated a pusher 37 transfers all the articles at the station 33, Fig. 3 (not shown), to a shrink wrapping station.
