Abstract

1455239 Discharging material from hoppers on to endless conveyers CRONE & TAYLOR Ltd 8 Nov 1973 [9 Nov 1972] 51635/72 Headings B8S and B8A A pan or hopper 10 has side and rear walls 13, 14 respectively and a low front wall 10a which permits the bulk products discharge part of a vehicle, when tipped to be partially located in the hopper 10, the latter having a bottom 11 which slopes downwardly from the side walls 13 to a discharge opening 12 through which the bulk products pass to an endless belt 15b of a mobile stacker conveyer 15. Twin vibrating motors 17, attached to one side of the hopper 10, vibrate it in the direction of the arrows, the hopper 10 being mounted on the conveyer structure by means of flexible mountings (16), Fig. 4 (not shown). Instead of discharging direct into the hopper 10 a vehicle may discharge into a larger hopper (18) which discharges into the hopper 10, Fig. 2 (not shown).
