Abstract

1451525 Fertilizer-insecticide compositions ITT INDUSTRIES Inc 8 Jan 1974 [15 Jan 1973] 00780/74 Heading A5E [Also in Division C1] A fertilizer-insecticide composition, includes an ester of a dialkoxy-phosphoric acid of the formula:- in which R 1 is an alkyl, alkenyl, alkoxyalkyl or alkylmercapto-alkyl radical, R 2 is hydrogen or an alkyl or alkenyl radical, R 3 and R 4 are alkyl radicals, X is oxygen or sulphur and Y is a direct link or sulphur bridge, and a solid carrier comprising a granular urea-aldehyde condensation polymer containing substantially no free acidic material and adapted to provide a nitrogen nutrient source, and in which the solid carrier includes a phosphate containing material and a potassium containing material added to the urea-aldehyde material prior to condensation thereof. Typical composition components are diazinon; potassium sulfate, chloride, phosphate and nitrate; mono- and di-ammonium phosphates, superphosphate, urea and ureaformaldehyde codensate.
