Abstract
1450005 Growth regulating composition BAYER AG 14 Feb 1975 [15 Feb 1974] 6282/75 Heading C1B A method of regulating the growth of plants comprises applying to the plants or to a plant habitat, at a rate of 0À1 to 100 kg. per hectare of ground, a substituted phenoxy acid or phenoxy acid ester of the general formula in which R is hydrogen or optionally substituted alkyl, R<SP>1</SP> is hydrogen or C 1 -C 6 alkyl, X is chlorine, C 1 -C 6 alkyl or C 1 -C 6 alkoxy, Y is chlorine or C 1 -C 6 alkyl, Z is hydrogen, optionally substituted C 1 -C 6 alkyl, chlorine or trifluoromethyl, and n is 1, 2 or 3, alone or in admixture with a diluent or carrier. A composition comprising 0À0005-2% w./w. of the active compound is preferably used.
