1333379 Chrome magnesite bricks PICKFORD HOLLAND & CO Ltd 1 Jan 1971 [16 Oct 1969] 50807/69 Heading C1J Refractory bricks are made by shaping and firing at a temperature of 1550‹ C. or above a batch comprising 5 to 35 wt. per cent magnesia, 5-35 wt. per cent commercially pure chromic oxide, and less than 2À5 wt. per cent silica, the remainder being a fused or sintered grain comprising 90 to 40 wt. per cent magnesia and 10 to 60 wt. per cent chrome ore. The batch is size graded so that the magnesia/ chrome ore grain constitutes the major proportion of the coarse and medium fractions, the magnesia and chromic oxide constituting the major proportion of the fines.
