Abstract

1332216 Cable reels BURGESS POWER TOOLS Ltd 5 Nov 1971 [17 April 1971] 9731/71 Heading B8M A reel assembly for electric cable comprises a reel holder 12, an axle 18 projecting from the reel holder, a reel 11 for cable rotatable on the axle 18, an electrical connection 5 e.g. a socket, on the reel, and means e.g. a lug 20 whereby the assembly can be mounted on a wall. The connection 5 is preferably mounted on a coverplate 4 attached to the reel 11 as by rivets. A handle 6 is provided for rotating the reel to wind or unwind cable as necessary. The holder 12 may also be provided with feet 14 whereby the holder can stand on the floor or a table. An insulated carrying handle 13 is also provided. In a modification, a thermal cut-out and an on/off neon are also mounted on the cover-plate 4.
