Abstract
1331542 Bearings HITACHI Ltd 29 Nov 1971 [30 Nov 1970] 55218/71 Heading F2A A bearing assembly comprises a journal 1 mounted hydrodynamically in a bearing member 3 which is mounted rotatably in a housing 2 such that rotation of the journal is accommodated by rotation of the bearing member in the housing when the hydrodynamic bearing film is insufficient to carry the load. The bearing member is carried in the housing by a rolling bearing.
