1323309 Apparatus for heat treating specimen containers TOYO KAGAKU SANGYO KK A NOBE and T NAKAE 4 Dec 1970 [24 Dec 1969] 57736/70 Heading B1X [Also in Division F4] Apparatus for heattreating specimen containers, e.g. L-shaped test tubes 4 comprises a bar 1 of thermally conductive material, e.g. aluminium or silver which is heated at one end and cooled at the other to establish a temperature gradient along the bar length and has one or more bores 17 and/or grooves 2 to accept the containers. The bar is heated by electric heaters 10 mounted at one end and cooled by a fluid from a refrigerator which is passed into a chamber formed in the other end of the bar. The ends of the bar are mounted in bearings 15 of a bed 16 for oscillatory movement by means of a motor (not shown).
