Abstract

1316126 Knitting-machines WILDT MELLOR BROMLEY Ltd 6 Oct 1970 [22 Oct 1969] 51824/69 Heading D1C [Also in Division H1] A pattern unit for a circular or flat machine comprises a bank of selectors 22 pivoted on axes 27. The operative parts 28 which selectively push jacks away from a permanent holding magnet are spaced sufficiently from the axes so that they describe a rectilinear path when the selector is rocked. The selectors are rocked by an arm 29 selectively attracted to the poles 31 of a magnet, by a coil 30 actuated at the dictates of a pattern tape. The axes may be parallel with, or oblique to the instantaneous path of the jacks past the selectors.
