Abstract

1312017 Reciprocating pumps T TADA 19 April 1971 [8 Oct 1970 (2)] 27068/ 71 Heading F1A A hand-acutated sprayer comprises a piston 33 reciprocable in a cylinder 12 by a trigger 51 acting against spring 50, liquid being drawn from a container 28 via check valve 26 and clearances around square cross-section member 25, and being discharged via piston passage 35, check valve 38 and spray nozzle 44. Pump housing 11-is secured to container 28 by a threaded roller 29. Outlet check valve 38 comprises a bowler hat-shaped resilient member with slots in the crown, and reinforcing ribs, Figs.4 and 5 (not shown). Trigger 51 has lugs 54 engaging pins 55 projecting from the piston. The spray nozzle e. g. of polyethylene comprises a head 44 with parallel passages 45 bridged by a channel 46, and a tubular portion 47.
