Abstract

1305943 Tape dispensers MINNESOTA MINING & MFG CO 12 June 1970 [30 June 1969] 28676/70 Heading A4G [Also in Division B8] A hand-held dispenser for pressure-sensitive adhesive tape comprises a roll holder 8, a severing blade 21, and a pad 20 of dielectric material in frictional sliding contact with the tape backing, which pad presses the tape into an article and retains the free end by electrostatic attraction after severance of the dispensed length. The tape is guided from the roll by a bar 16 and a roller 25 into engagement with the support pad 20. The dispensed tape is severed by the blade 21 on pivoting the dispenser body.
