Abstract
1303029 Resettable counters VEEDER INDUSTRIES Inc 13 July 1971 [22 July 1970] 32807/71 Heading G4D Depression (i.e. leftwards displacement) of key 52 shifts a zeroizing member 50 longitudinally, against the bias of spring 54. The member 50 pivotally carries at 62 a doubleslotted lever 60 (described as a whippletree) which initially swings clockwise about transfer pinion shaft 30 to swing resetting comb 40 to the position of Fig. 2 with arms 44 contacting reset cams 26. With continued movement of member 50 the lever 60 is then swung counterclockwise about pivot 68 to withdraw the transfer pinions, after which the rotation of lever 60 is reversed to complete movement of the comb 40 and the resetting of the counter wheels (Fig. 4, not shown). The link 50 is then returned by spring 54, the first movement allowing re-engagement of the transfer pinions by spring 36.
