Abstract

1302631 Container closures BLAU KG FABRIK FUR KRAFTFAHRZEUGTEILE 3 June 1971 [9 June 1970] 18802/71 Heading B8T [Also in Division F2] A pressure-equalizing closure comprises a cap 1, a rigid insert plate 2, and two one-way valves. The valves include sealing members 6, 7 engaging toriodal supports 2<SP>1</SP>, 2<SP>11</SP> respectively and held in place by compression springs 8. If the internal pressure is higher than the external pressure then the sealing member 6 is lifted from its support 2<SP>1</SP> and the pressure is equalized via holes 6<SP>1</SP>; similarly with the member 7 if the external pressure is higher. In another embodiment, (Fig. 2, not shown), the two sealing members (17) (18) are disposed centrally on each side of the rigid insert plate (12). The closure can be fitted to a container or pipe socket by bayonet joints or screw threads.
