Abstract

1399830 Pile fabric MONSANTO LTD 3 Oct 1972 [13 Oct 1971] 47724/71 Heading D1K The pile of tufted carpet is derived from a warp knitted fabric, the ends of which are simultaneously unravelled during tufting. A plied yarn may be separated into its component yarns so that one yarn feeds more than one needle, the knitted fabric may be heat set to provide bulked yarns, the yarns may be antistatic or flame resistant and the fabric before unravelling may be dyed with a pattern that is transferred to the tufted carpet.
