Abstract

1395979 Fabric-printing apparatus STALWART DYEING CO Ltd 13 Nov 1973 [4 Dec 1972] 55806/72 Heading B6C A printing machine comprises one or a plurality of printing couples each of which comprises a printing cylinder 19 having a continuous impervious surface partly covered with absorbent material 23 which is continuously charged with dye liquor and an impression cylinder 21 which are pressed towards each other by means acting on trunnions 29 of the printing cylinder and back-up rolls 31 acting at the centre of the impression cylinder. The machine is used for printing pile fabric which may be first given a background dye then fed to the machine by a stentor and after printing passes into a steam cabinet with an horizontal section leading to a chamber in which the fabric hangs in vertical festoons.
