Abstract

1393629 Fluid-pressure servomotor systems LINDE AG 18 Oct 1973 [20 Oct 1972] 48578/73 Heading G3P A control mechanism for a variable displacement axial piston machine, e.g. a pump, having an angularly adjustable barrel or swash-plate 4 comprises a control lever 15 attached to a shaft 14 pivotally mounted within machine housing 1 and carrying a cam-plate 13. The latter has a groove 12 engaging a follower 11 on a crank 10 extending from a pivoted shaft 9 carrying a lever 8 engaging the pilot piston 7 of a servomotor 6 connected to the swashplate body 3 by a pin 5. Thus rotation of control lever 15 causes linear movement of pilot piston 7 and servomotor 6 with corresponding angular adjustment of swash-plate 4, the profile of groove 12 influencing the relative displacement of lever 15 and pilot piston 7 over different parts of the adjustment range. Follower 11 may be adjustably mounted on crank 10 to permit variation in the transmission ratio. Lever 15 may be actuated manually or by a control unit.
