Abstract
1390818 Regulating AUTOMOBILES PEUGEOT and REGIE NATIONALE DES USINES RENAULT 11 May 1972 [17 June 1971] 22022/72 Addition to 1186135 Heading F1B In an improvement of the fuel regulating device disclosed in Specification 1186135 a conduit 102, 101, Fig. 1, connects an enclosure (not shown) in which approximately atmospheric pressure prevails, to chamber 4 in which a pressure usually prevails which is intermediate the atmospheric pressure and the pressure prevailing in the inlet pipe, the conduit being normally closed by a device 124, Fig. 2, which is moved to its open position when the cam 30 reaches the vicinity of an extreme position corresponding to predetermined operating conditions. When the engine over-runs lever 27, carrying cam 30 which determines the mixture, pivots in direction F to decrease fuel injection. Near its extreme position lever 27 depresses rod 115 to move valve 124 leftwards thereby communicating chambers 121, 128 and chamber 4 with the enclosure which causes rapid downward shift of diaphragm 3 and rod 21 to cut off the fuel supply in a precise manner.
