Abstract

1390669 Plant growth regulation using 2,6-dinitroanilines AMERICAN CYANAMID CO 8 June 1972 [30 June 1971 19 April 1972] 26888/72 Heading C1B [Also in Division C2] A composition or a method for inhibiting bud growth on plants utilizes as active ingredient a compound of formula wherein R 1 is hydrogen, (C 1 -C 8 ) alkyl, substituted (C 1 -C 8 ) alkyl, or (C 2 -C 4 ) alkenyl; R 2 is (C 2 -C 4 ) alkenyl, (C 3 -C 6 ) cycloalkyl, (C 1 -C 8 ) alkyl or substituted (C 1 -C 8 ) alkyl; R 3 is hydrogen, halogen, (C 1 -C 4 ) alkyl, (C 1 -C 4 ) alkoxy, -CF 3 , CN, -SO 2 NK 5 R 6 or -SO 2 R 7 ; R 4 is (C 1 -C 4 ) alkyl; R 5 and R 6 are individually hydrogen or (C 1 -C 4 ) alkyl: and R 7 is (C 1 -C 4 ) alkyl. Applications specified are in respect of tobacco plants, bulbs, tubers and fruit trees.
