Abstract

1390316 Dynamo-electric machines F KEIPER 26 Feb 1973 [3 March 1972] 9277/73 Heading H2A A planar air gap electric motor drives an output member 39 through epicyclic gearing including a sun wheel 30, coupled to the motor rotor 23, and two ring gears 31, 40 having different numbers of teeth, the first ring gear 31 being formed on a stationary housing of the motor and the second ring gear 40 being formed on the output member 39, the planet wheels of the gearing each having two sets of teeth of different pitch diameters, the first set 32 engaging the stationary ring gear 31 and the second set 33 engaging the second ring gear 40. The motor has stator permanent magnets 18 and a discoidal rotor 23 engaged by brushes 22. The output member 39 is a cable drum operating a motor vehicle window.
