Abstract
1389691 Phosphorothisate esters NIPPON SODA CO Ltd 28 Dec 1972 [30 Dec 1971 7 Jan 1972] 59782/72 Heading C2P Novel compounds of the general formula wherein R is C 1 -C 6 alkyl and X is halogen, e.g. Cl or Br, are obtained by reacting with (RO) 2 P(S)Cl. The reaction may be carried out in an inert solvent and is preferably effected in dimethyl sulphoxide or dimethyl formamide as solvent and in the presence of an alkali metal carbonate as condensing agent or by using an alkali metal salt of II dissolved in a solvent, e.g. dimethyl formamide or dimethyl sulphoxide. The products have insecticidal and acaricidal properties and may be used as active ingredients in conventional pesticidal compositions.
