Abstract

1389514 Fluid-pressure servomotor systems; fluid regulation SOC D'OPTIQUE PRICISION ELECTRONIQUE ET MECANIQUE 11 April 1973 [11 April 1972] 17422/73 Headings G3H and G3P A servovalve comprises a vane 34 movable in a plane perpendicular to the axis of nozzles 29, 30 so as to control the liquid discharge through the latter, vane 34 being secured to one end of a shaft 35 passing through a resilient tube 36 and connected at its other end to the armature 37 of a torque motor. Vane 34 is provided with recesses 341, 342 such that deflection of vane 34 from the minimum flow neutral position causes flow through one or other of nozzles 29, 30 to progressively increase. Nozzles 29, 30 are fed with liquid from a common inlet 31 via restrictions 33, 32 and apertures 291, 301 respectively, the pressures in the nozzles being sensed via apertures 293, 303. In a modification, Figs. 1, 2 (not shown) neither the latter apertures nor the vane recesses are provided.
