Abstract

1381367 Stripping waste from carding flats SCHUBERT & SALZER MASCHINENFABRIK AG 19 Dec 1972 [23 Dec 1971] 58603/72 Addition to 1282528 Headings D1F and D1N Waste is stripped from carding engine flats 4 by a reciprocating brush 5 and is then divided into transverse strips by a reciprocating comb 8. The strips then fall into a collector 6 of a suction device which has an air blast pipe 61. Preferably the comb carries out more than one stroke in the time taken for one flat to advance. The brush 8 is driven by a crank from a rotating brush 7.
