1380615 Guitar tailpieces D G J WIGGINS 12 Feb 1973 [14 Feb 1972] 6773/72 Heading G5J A guitar tailpiece comprises a plurality of rollers 12 mounted on a shaft 11, each roller having a string 22 passing round it to be secured in an aperture 19 too small to allow the eyelet 25 to pass and being provided with a lever 13. The lever is operated by a pedal rod attached at 14 to temporally raise or lower the pitch of the string which is returned to its normal tuning on release of the pedal by compression springs 16. Springs 16 are held in apertures in guide-plates 15 attached to a housing 10, and engage recesses 20 on opposite sides of the lever.
