Abstract

1379627 Vehicle doors BECKETT LAYCOCK & WATKINSON Ltd 15 March 1973 [24 March 1972] 14025/72 Heading B7J [Also in Division E1] An assembly in which a door member 11 is mounted in a vehicle structure member 10, comprises an arm 13 pivoted to one member and having an offset reaction member 16 receivable in a recess in the other member so that edge 21 is pivoted outwardly before sliding, and means maintaining the free end of the arm against the other member during sliding. When the door is pivoted outwardly, roller 16 leaves the recess and as the door slides alongside the structure 10 a spring 20 maintains roller 15 in contact with the door. The door is supported by a carriage with rollers which run along a rail.
