Abstract

1377616 Tamperproof closures GLYNDON PLASTICS Ltd 22 Nov 1972 [23 Nov 1971 (2)] 52364/71 and 52365/71 Heading B8T A closure cap 11 has a dependent skirt 12 attached to which is a tear-off strip 13. The external surface of tear-off strip 13 has a series of vertical indentations 20 which intersect with a groove 16 on the inside of the skirt/tear off strip' junction to form holes (21), Fig. 6 (not shown), leaving thin areas (22) which can easily break along line 23 when strip 13 is removed by pulling tab 19. The internal surface of skirt 12 has an inwardly directed rib 15 which, together with vertical rib 14 engages the container wall The groove 16 holds the cap on a rib (6) of the container (1), Fig. 1 (not shown). A finger tab 18 (protected by tab 10 prior to removal) is attached to the bottom of skirt 12 to remove the cap from the container.
