Abstract

1376631 Pesticidal device to be worn by domestic animals DYNACHIM 4 Feb 1972 [8 Feb 1971] 5424/72 Heading A5E A device intended to be worn by a domestic animal comprises a collar to be worn about the neck of the animal and a container provided with fixing means for removably uniting the container with the collar, the container having foraminations in at least one wall thereof and having at least one other wall free from foraminations, the fixing means being so disposed as to enable the wall free from foraminations to be in contact with the skin of the animal when the device is worn, the container carrying a solid composition comprising an insecticide, parasiticide or deodorant which is volatile at ambient temperature, the container being substantially inert with respect to the constituents of the composition. The composition may contain one or more of the following: dichlorous, o,o-diethyl-3,5,6-trichloro-2-pyridylphosphorothioate and the corresponding o,o-dimethyl-phosphoroate or other pyridyl phosphates.
