Abstract

1375694 Agricultural implements SOUTH AFRICAN FARM IMPLEMENT MFRS Ltd 11 Oct 1971 [15 Oct 1970] 48977/70 Heading A1B [Also in Divisions B7 and F2] A chisel plough tine 51 is yieldably mounted from a toolbar 52 by spaced torsion bars 55 with pivoting end connections 56. The tine 51 may be tuned to vibrate from side to side to provide a soil shattering action. In Fig. 5 (not shown) the two torsion bars (26) are side-byside in a V-formation, instead of one above the other. In Fig. 14 (not shown) the tine is mounted on three pairs of bars. The spring rate of the torsion bars may be adjusted.
