Abstract

1375550 Valves UNITED GAS INDUSTRIES Ltd 11 Feb 1972 [5 March 1971] 6085/71 Heading F2V A control mechanism for an absorption-type refrigerator has a bellows 19 connected to a refrigerant temperature sensing bulb and which simultaneously operates via a lever 28 a gas valve 11 for controlling flow between an inlet 12 and an outlet 13, and via the lever 28, snapacting spring 29 and lever 30 an electrical switch 25. The temperature range of operation is adjusted by rotation of cam 35 which adjusts the spring-loading 32 of the lever 28. A pilot valve 46 is opened, a safety-valve 43 which is held open by a thermocouple-energized solenoid 41 is reset, and an ignition switch 49 is closed by a lever 51 which is pivoted by pressing spring-loaded shaft 53. In a modification the gas valve is operated via the snap-acting spring 29 and an extension of lever 30.
