1374442 A chlorophenylformamidine CIBAGEIGY AG 26 Aug 1971 [27 Aug 1970 28 June 1971] 11454/74 Divided out of 1374441 Heading C2C The invention comprises a compound of the formula It may be prepared by reacting a compound of the formula with an amine of the formula at a temperature from 0‹ to 200‹ C. It may also be prepared by processes analogous to those described in Specification 1,374,441. An example is given for the preparation of the compound. It is useful as an insecticide or as an acaricide and may be admixed with other insecticides or with fungicides, bactericides, fungistatic agents, bacteriostatic agents, nematocides or herbicides. A formyliminoester of Formula II may be obtained by refluxing 2-amino-5-chloro-toluene with ethylorthoformate. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,039,930.
