Abstract
136,325. Rogers, F. H., (Sizaire, M. H.). Jan. 7, 1919. Swivelling joints.-Comprises a swivel joint for petrol, oil, water, or like pipes, which is, according to the Provisional Specification, specially applicable to aircraft and motor-vehicles. The two pipes to be connected are screwed respectively to a socket 1 having an eyed extension 2, and to a hollow plug 8 which is rotatable within the eye. The pipe 4 is in communication with the passage 12 by way of radial channels 13 and a circumferential groove 14 in the plug 8. The eye in the extension 2 may be bored at any desired angle. In a modification for connecting a pipe to a petrol tank or the like, the passage 12 is enlarged and screw-threaded internally. ' A plurality of sockets 1 may be formed with a common eye 2.
