Abstract
1353423 Resonators THOMSON-CSF 6 June 1972 [7 June 1971] 26409/72 Heading H1W [Also in Division G1] A resonator for a gyromagnetic resonance spectrometer defines a cylindrical volume to receive a sample 10 and comprises two lines connected in series, the first line consists of coaxial conductors 11, 12 and is essentially capacitive and the second line is a Lecher line 21, 22 which is essentially inductive and of higher characteristic impedance than the first. The Lecher line is short-circuited at its end remote from the other line. In another form, Fig. 2 (not shown) the coaxial line is replaced by a Lecher line (111, 112). The output is taken from line 11 and 12 by a line 50. Components 16, 19, 20 are provided for tuning and matching purposes. In each case the first line is separated from the cylindrical volume by a shielding conductor which in Fig. 1 is the inner conductor 11 and in Fig. 2 is a metal coating (130).
