Abstract
1349609 Displacement transducers JACKSON BROS (LONDON) Ltd 3 Oct 1972 [9 Feb 1972] 6083/72 Heading G1N [Also in Division H1] A capacitive transducer for measuring angular displacement comprises a rotatable plate 10 mounted on a shaft 12 between two parallel fixed plates 14, 16, the former being fed with A.C. from an oscillator 18 and the latter consisting of a window portion 20, forming the pick-up electrode, surrounded by an earthed screening portion 22. The shapes of the moving plate 10 and the pick-up section 20 may be made to produce a required relationship between output and angle.
