Abstract

1,238,228. Masted lift trucks. EATON YALE & TOWNE Inc. 9 Dec., 1968 [8 Dec., 1967], No. 58386/68. Heading B8H. A fork 11 is mounted on a plate 14 on the lifting carriage of a lift truck by means of a hanger block 17 which is formed with a lower portion 19 extending between the tapered rear surface 18 of the upright portion 16 of the fork and the front surface 20 of the plate 14 and which is welded at 27-29 to the surface 18. The block 17 is formed with a notch 22 having an inclined surface 24 which is adapted to engage an inclined surface 26 on the upper edge of the plate 14. The lower portion of the rear surface of the fork is adapted to bear directly on the plate 14, against which it is held by a clip 16a.
