Abstract

Belts.-In a bevel epicyclic gear combined with a plate friction clutch, by the slipping of which speed changes are effected, the planet pinions f may be replaced by conical rotating friction blocks 17, Fig. 5, mounted in frames 15 linked together to form a belt conveying power from the pulley g', g<2> to another pulley. The pulley halves g<1>, g<2> form the two sun wheels, one being mounted directly on the shaft a and the other being connected to the plate clutch.
