Abstract

1,235,087. Roller blinds. R. L. KUSS & CO. Inc. 18 March, 1970 [24 Oct., 1969], No. 13158/70. Heading A4B. A roller blind assembly for use as a space divider comprises a plurality of rollers 10-12a mounted so that adjacent rollers are disposed in overlapping end-toend relationship on parallel, spaced-apart axes, flexible curtains A-D wound in opposite directions on adjacent rollers such that adjacent curtains also overlap, and means for simultaneously rotating adjacent rollers in opposite directions so that all unwound curtain portions lie in a common vertical plane with overlapping edges in contact. The drive means may comprise a drive chain 35 engaging a sprocket 33 on a first drive shaft 26 with a spur gear 31 engaged with a spur gear 32 on a second drive shaft 27.
