Abstract
1,223,492. Aminoguanidine derivative. AMERICAN HOME PRODUCTS CORP. 22 Feb., 1968 [13 Oct., 1967], No. 39073/70. Divided out of 1,223,491. Addition to 1,223,491. Heading C2C. The invention comprises the acid addition salts of 2,6-dichlorobenzylideneaminoguanidine (I). In an example, 2,6-dichlorobenzaldehyde is reacted with aminoguanidine bicarbonate, and (I) is isolated as the acetate. Other acids mentioned as suitable for salt formation are HCl, HB 5 , H 2 SO 4 , HNO 3 , H 3 PO 4 , and lactic, fumaric, tartaric, citric, formic, glycolic, succinic, gluconic, glutaric and maleic acids.
