Abstract

1,215,680. Golf club. A. L. CARLINO. 22 Sept., 1969 [11 Sept., 1969], No. 46545/69. Addition to 1,214,254. Heading A6D. Specification 1,214,254 relating to a golf club having a head 14 in the sape of a sphere with a segment removed to form a flat striking surface 18 is modified in that the shaft 12 is attached to the head 14 by means of a connecting piece 11 an extension of the longitudinal axis of which passes through the centre of curvature of the sphere and is at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the shaft. The shaft may be inclined for left-handed play as shown at 12a. In a modification, the shaft may be attached to the side of the club head, an angled connecting piece being employed.
