Abstract

1,213,976. Printing processes &c. COURTAULDS Ltd. 12 March, 1968 [13 Dec., 1966], No. 55688/66. Heading B6C. [Also in Division D1] Yarn 14 is dyed by contact with an absorbent surface 5 of roll 4 only when pressure is exerted by a resilient roll 7, the latter being cut away at 13 to relieve the pressure. At least two such roll pairs are provided. An intermediate roll 3 is preferably employed to feed dye to roll 4 and advantageously a doctor roll 6 is provided.
