Abstract
1,208,592. Optical systems. XEROX CORP. Dec.21, 1967 [Dec.27, 1966], No.58021/67. Heading G2J. An optical projection system comprises an objective 14 for receiving beams of light from a line object 12 and for forming a real image thereof on a light sensitive surface 13; a pair of plane reflectors A, B parallel to the lens axis 15 and between the lens and the object for receiving further beams from the object and reflecting them on to the objective; and a second pair of plane reflectors parallel to the first pair and between the lens 14 and the surface 13 for receiving the further beams from the objective and reflecting them into register with the image. The line object 12 is formed on a cathode ray tube 10, and this optical system multiplies the intensity of the image on the surface 13 by three without increasing the f number of the lens or intensifying the phosphorescence of the material of the tube 10. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1, 152, 019.
