Abstract

1,204,080. Adhesive tabs. MAPPEI-ORGANISATIONSMITTEL G.m.b.H. 17 Jan., 1969, No. 2814/69. Heading B6E. [Also in Division B8] Indicia tabs for cards or card indexes are formed from a label sheet 1 adhesively mounted on a backing layer 3. The sheet is divided into rectangular tabs and each tab has a corresponding section of transparent film 4 adhesively mounted thereon. The tab is pulled off the layer 3 (which is adhesive repellant) and one end B of sheet 1 is folded over and stuck down. Indicia are made on the end B, the tab is pressed against a card with the folded-over edge resting on top and the free end of the film 4 is folded over the other side of the card to protect and hold the tab in place. In an alternative embodiment no film 4 is present and the sheet 1 is transparent. The inside of the folded-over portion has no adhesive on it and an indicia slip is held therein. In another embodiment, the backing sheet is transparent and a layer thereof is fixed on the inside of the folded-over end.
