Abstract

1299706 Feeding webs KALLE AG 22 Oct 1970 [28 Aug 1970] 50251/70 Heading B8R An electrophotographic copying apparatus is provided with a storage device for three paper supply rolls 11, 12, 13 of different widths, the two narrower rolls, 11, 12 being separately mounted with their axes in alignment and the wider roll 13 being mounted with its axis parallel to and spaced from the axis of the two narrower rolls. The device includes a stationary component 1 and a movable component 2 provided with rocker arms 5, 6 which can be raised or lowered to load the supply rolls into the stationary component which has holders 14 for the axles of the rolls (Fig. 2, not shown). Paper from a selected roll is fed to the copying apparatus by hollow feed rollers having a control driving shaft, and respective tensioning rollers (24, 25, 31) associated with each web co-operate with limit switches controlling energization and de-energization the drive (Fig. 2, not shown) the axles of the rolls being braked so that the webs are always under tension.
